Come with me discover the world of abandoned places and discuss my practice of urbex and photography.
In 2026, I am organizing a tour in each of the following four geographic areas:

The tours are planned for four people and last four days. Departure and return in Paris.
THERE ARE ONLY 16 PLACES !!
Here is an overview of a typical day: in the morning we get up either with the sun or to be at the first place at sunrise. We visit abandoned places until a short lunch break. We then leave again until sunset. Unlike lunch, for diner we will sit in a restaurant and enjoy a moment together to discuss the day, everyone’s feelings, expectations, etc. You can also ask me any questions you want.
Examples of places in the North-West area
We will not cover the areas in their entirety. On the contrary, if at the time in question, enough places offering diversity are accessible in a more restricted perimeter, we will make sure to travel as little as possible. The less we drive, the more places we visit. But be careful, do not neglect the car journeys to chat and ask me all your questions you want because in the evening you will be tired!

I am used to leading groups to these type of places.
After having visited the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone three times alone, I have been leading groups there since October 2018. I have taken six of them for periods of three to five days. These visits have been suspended since the invasion by Russia.

“I had an incredible experience during this trip, led by a person who knows the points of interest and the history of the places very well. Agile in the face of the vagaries of time, weather and others, I have absolutely no regrets! When are we going again?” Renaud, May 2021
“Jonk is an excellent organizer of tours in Chernobyl. The one I participated in was exceptional in several ways: the experience first, the site lives up to its history and our expectations. Then the organization, we just have to enjoy it, everything has been thought out in advance by Jonk to make our stay easier! The explanations, Jonk strives to tell us about the places we discover and his many stays there have allowed him to uncover treasures (old frescoes, unique places) that we would never have been able to find on our own. The experience is all the richer for it! Finally, the group, we didn’t know each other, but the good understanding was proven from the first dinner spent together.” Romuald, May 2021
“Amazing experience, a visit full of emotion, breathtaking. Thanks to Jonk for his great work!” Valérie, February 2019 and May 2021
“Fan of Urbex, I had dreamed of going to Chernobyl for years and I was lucky enough to meet JONK who allowed me to realize this dream. 5 days of immersion in the forbidden zone with a small group allowing the visit of many sites in complete safety and conviviality. His knowledge of the site and his connections allowed us, despite the last-minute changes to be integrated due to local constraints, to make these 5 days rich in discoveries. Thank you for this immersion that I can only recommend.” Emmanuel, September 2021

Since February 2017, I have also been guiding days in wastelands near Paris or in surrounding regions. I have conducted a dozen of these days with groups of one to nine people.

“I had the chance to participate in urban explorations with Jonk for a day and discover an unusual place with a special atmosphere. An exciting activity that this artist shared with us and where we took an incredible journey through time” Mickaël, June 2021
“Our experience of wastelands with Jonk was super exciting, thrilling and surprising. He knew how to keep us safe and in good condition so that we could fully experience it. Discovering his world on the ground was very inspiring. Showing nature reclaiming its rights in abandoned places is magnificent!” Benoit & Anastasia, June 2021
“I had an extraordinary day in wastelands with Jonk. Everything was very well organized, the group was small enough for us all to enjoy it and above all the experience lived up to my expectations. Lots of walking, lots of exploring, advice, anecdotes and all this in a very friendly atmosphere! Thanks again!!” Magali, June 2022
“5 stars, it was really great, a good mix of walking, exploring, photography and sharing! To do again with pleasure.” Candice & Baptiste, April 2023

A brief recap of all the 2025 Tours. In total, we covered nearly 7,000 kilometers and visited 85 abandoned locations. Each Tour started in Paris and lasted 4 days. They covered the Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast regions, as illustrated below:

I took nine people on all four tours. They had very different profiles: men and women, aged 28 to 66, athletic or not at all, amateur photographers or not at all, familiar with abandoned places or not at all. They all had a fantastic experience. I received only very positive feedback from them.
I conducted a short survey among the participants.
To the questions “Are you satisfied with your abandoned site tour?” and “Would you recommend an abandoned site tour with me to a friend?”, 100% of the participants answered YES.
To the question “Would you be likely to do another abandoned site tour with me?”, 78% (7 out of 9) answered YES. The answer jumps to 100% if I add “excluding financial considerations” to the question. The tours do have a price tag, but considering what’s included and the experience offered, they’re worth it. At least, that’s not my opinion…
Here are the feedbacks from the participants:
“I decided at the last minute to participate in the Northwest Urbex Tour organized by Jonk. It was a good decision, as it was set for four intense and varied days in the abandoned sites offered (old buildings, mansions, factories, etc.). The highly organized and optimized route took us on a journey through space and time. With a great team, we didn’t have time to get bored. My little experience stopped at factories with lots of graffiti but few well-hidden and original places like the ones we saw. Nature inevitably reclaims its place, relentless, and it’s beautiful. Thank you, Jonathan.” Francis
“A fantastic 4-day tour with Jonk in Brittany and Normandy. We explored a wide variety of locations thanks to excellent scouting, which still left room for improvisation when we came across an abandoned house by the side of the road… Factories, mills, farms, manors—we came back with tons of memories, thousands of photos, and a few aches and pains!” Carole
“I discovered Jonk thanks to ULULE in 2023 when his book “The Lost World” was published, and I was drawn to his world. The book fascinated me, and I really discovered URBEX on this occasion, with photography as a backdrop, for which I have a real interest. A one-day URBEX outing was also proposed, but I wasn’t able to participate. So when Jonk announced his Urbex Tour project, I didn’t hesitate for long. A lover of Brittany, I chose the one organized in the West; Jonk’s kindness and availability gave me confidence and largely contributed to the success of this wonderful adventure. The four of us, Jonk and three apprentice Urbexers, set off on a beautiful morning in late April. And what an excursion! We explored 5 to 6 sites per day, crisscrossing Brittany to Normandy. I loved it! What an experience and what a wonderful time together. The good relationship between us largely contributed to the success of this trip, as did Jonk’s kindness and intensive preparation. I appreciated her risk assessment without putting anyone in danger during these four days. I have superb images in my head, wonderful memories, and the pleasure of discovering extremely varied sites: castles, houses, abbeys, factories, and even an improbable dinosaur park, and, last but not least, the omnipresent nature. I’ve never heard so much bird songs. So I’m ready to go again, maybe to Italy! I’m giving it at least 5 stars ;-)” Catherine
Even though the 2025 Tours weren’t fully booked, my primary concern being participant satisfaction, I consider it a success.
The Tours will therefore return in 2026! With two variations…

The North-West and South-West Tours remain unchanged.
The North-East Tour is extended by one day. It will therefore last 5 days. In 2025, we made a brief foray into Belgium with visits to two locations. In 2026, I plan to delve much deeper into Belgium. The idea is to spend at least two or three days there and travel as far as the Liège region. Perhaps with an incursion in Germany and/or Luxembourg…
The South-East Tour is extended by two days. It will therefore last 6 days. The goal is to travel to Italy and spend at least three or four days there.

North-West Tour: April 27-30 (4 days)
North-East Tour: June 1-5 (5 days)
South-West Tour: July 20-23 (4 days)
South-East Tour: October 11-16 (6 days)
